Fortnite developer Epic Games’ new game-making technology, Unreal Engine 5, was shown off recently through an outstanding tech demo running on PlayStation 5. At the time, Epic confirmed that it would transition Fortnite to Unreal Engine 5 in 2021, and now another game being made with the engine has been announced.
The Microsoft-owned inXile Entertainment will use the new technology for its next project to follow Wasteland 3. Writing on Twitter, the studio said it’s excited to talk about this game, but it will “be a while” before that happens. “We will indeed be using Unreal Engine 5 for our next project,” the studio said.
Thank you. We’re excited to share more, although it’ll be a while. Focusing on finishing Wasteland 3 and getting it into people’s hands on Aug. 28. We will indeed be using Unreal Engine 5 for our next project.
