Ex-NOC CEO Sylvia Chan hiring staff for her new media company, but says she’ll never be a ‘nice boss’

Former CEO of Night Owl Cinematics (NOC) Sylvia Chan is now hiring for various positions at Gushcloud and her new media company, Savour365. In an “Ask Me Anything” session on Instagram on Monday (Dec 5), Sylvia revealed she was looking for new staff for the two companies.

Following the NOC saga, where Sylvia’s management style came under fire, someone asked her if she had really changed. “I know one person who work(ed) with you after the saga,” wrote the netizen on her Instagram story.

Passenger got scolded by uncle for telling him ‘cutting toenails on bus is not allowed for hygiene purposes’

A bus passenger was allegedly scolded by an uncle for telling him to stop cutting his toenails on public transportation.

“Saw this man cutting his toenail inside Bus 61. I boarded Bus 61 at Blk 302 Ubi Ave 2,” wrote a Facebook page Complaint Singapore member. “I told him in public transportation not allowed to cut toenails due to hygiene purposes. However, he scolded me instead and told me not to be a busybody.”

‘They kind of brainwash us and deprive human rights’ — Tasha Low shares her K-Pop idol trainee experience

In the recent episode of Mediacorp’s Hear U Out, Tasha Low expressed her experiences as a K-pop idol trainee back then. She mentioned that the first month of her training period was good, and she even thought that it was a nice lifestyle to live. However, everything changed when she officially started her training sessions.

Tasha remembers how their phones and laptops were kept and they were “cut off from the outside world”. “They kind of brainwashed us by saying it was for our good” she remarked. After losing her phone, Tasha was forced to do splits during her very first dance lesson. She stated that people sat behind her back and pushed her as she faced the wall. She felt that they were “deprived of human rights” during those times.

Man says he wants a life partner who can care for herself as he’s content in making just enough for himself, calls himself a feminist

A man took to social media, saying he was looking for a life partner who could take care of herself as he was “content to just make enough for” himself.

In an anonymous post to popular confessions page SGWhispers, the man wrote that he was not career-driven or ambitious. He was happy with making just enough to sustain himself as he was “tired of this rat race and I want to focus on enjoying things I like in life”. The man added that he also preferred if his life partner was a woman who could also take care of herself instead of relying on him so that they could just enjoy each other’s company.

S’poreans divided over woman dancing on MRT: One says ‘don’t dance in public like crazy girl’ while another say ‘she’s having fun, let her be’

A video of a woman happily dancing in an MRT has drawn both ire and support from Singaporeans. While some said she should be more courteous to other passengers, others saw no problem at all with her expression of happiness.

On Monday (Dec 5) an online user shared a video that sparked quite a debate among netizens. The fourteen-second clip featured a masked woman in a dress, dancing in an MRT. “This girl never respects other(s),” the caption read, “İ hope no body follows her. She thought danc(ing) in MRT makes her (an) artist…”
