Imagining a positive outcome biases subsequent memories

Imagining that an event will go well ‘colors’ how people remember that event after learning how it actually went, according to findings in published in Psychological Science. The findings showed that participants were more likely to mistakenly identify positive details from the event as ‘true’ if they had previously imagined the event going well.
