HBO Airing Game Of Thrones Marathon To Celebrate Emmy Nominations

In celebration of the slew of Emmy nominations the network has received, HBO will air Season 7 of Game of Thrones as well as some of its other nominated shows across a few channels. The shows and movies will air during the Emmy Awards voting period, as well as during the Emmys Awards ceremony.

In total, the network is receiving 108 Emmy nominations, with Game of Thrones leading with a whopping 22 nominations. Westworld isn’t far behind with 21 nominations, and Barry takes bronze with 13 nominations.

HBO will air a marathon of Season 7 of Game of Thrones on Saturday August 25 on HBO2 at noon. Other nominated programs will be airing as well, including Spielberg on August 10 (HBO Signature 8 PM), Season 1 of Barry on August 11 (HBO2 3 PM), Season 9 of Curb Your Enthusiasm on August 12 (HBO Comedy 6 PM), The Zen Diaries of Garry Shandling on August 14 (HBO Signature 8 PM), The Defiant Ones on August 21 (HBO2 9 PM), The Tale on August 16 (HBO 10 PM), and Westworld Season 2 on August 18 (HBO2 10 AM).

HBO has also added a “HBO’s 2018 Emmy Nominees” folder in both of its streaming apps, HBO GO and HBO NOW. The folder contains all the titles that were nominated for Emmys, including movies, documentaries, and individuals seasons of shows.

If nothing else, the Emmy nominee folder and the marathons are a good way to find out what was good on HBO this year.
