A 29-year-old man who likes the thrill of being chased rather than to chase, wrote that he loves women who sell insurance. “There is just something so refreshing about girls approaching guys”, he wrote, adding that he would swoon over them.

In an anonymous post to popular confessions page SGWhispers, he wrote that over the past 8 years, he had gotten to know and date some women who sold insurance. “At first, I was taken aback by the notion “they just want your business” but then later on I changed my perspective and view the purchase of a policy as opportunity to start dating an insurance lady after I have verified that she is single at the first free financial consultation.

But why not just pursue them? Why do you have to buy a policy?” the man wrote. He added that he would often buy a policy at the start from the woman to avoid wasting her time and allowing him to start asking her out on dates. “But isn’t it a waste of money to buy policy? Why not just go to Geylang? It actually isn’t really because you are still getting critical illness and disability coverage at the end of the day. You can also get policies with significant coverage as cheaply as $95-$100/month”, the man wrote.

He seemed to have these situations completely figured out and wrote that he had indeed been friend-zoned (to make someone understand that you want to be their friend, but not to have a romantic or sexual relationship with them) before. Because of this, he said that he would opt for policies with no monetary value or term plans so if there was no chemistry between him and said insurance lady, he could cancel the policy and “wait for the next cute insurance lady to approach me for policy review”.

Just like the many clauses in an insurance policy, the man clarified: “But isn’t it expensive to keep cancelling and starting new policy because the premium will then be higher? It actually isn’t. This is because as long as you are healthy and under the age of 40, the premiums will not be significantly more expensive. In fact, you may actually save on premiums because between the period when you cancelled with your current insurance lady and wait for the next insurance lady, you are not paying premiums”.

He concluded his post by saying that he hoped his advice helps other single guys to land their first insurance girlfriend.

Netizens who commented on the post were mainly amused, with some being a tad insulting in their comments.
